I began my career in 2004 at Shinwon Agency. Just six months after joining, I secured the Korean rights to <DON'T EAT THE MARSHMALLOW YET!> by Joachim de Posada for $130,000 with Korea Economic Daily. The book became a bestseller, selling over three million copies in Korea alone.
In 2006, I was selected as the exclusive agent for The Wylie Agency in Korea. Until 2011, when The Wylie Agency shifted to a direct global management system, I managed exclusive contracts for more than 500 distinguished authors—including Nobel laureates such as Milan Kundera, Bob Dylan, Italo Calvino, Susan Sontag, Lisa Randall, Saul Bellow, and Orhan Pamuk.
My work was also featured in <THE END OF MEN> by Hanna Rosin, published by Minumsa, where I was included as a case study in the Korean edition.
In 2007, I was chosen for the Ledig House Writers & Translators’ Residence Program as a Korean translator. During my residency, I contributed to the Korean edition of Miranda July’s <NO ONE BELONGS HERE MORE THAN YOU>, published by Munhakdongne.
I also served as a marketing consultant for Barnes & Noble in the Korean market for two years.
In July 2009, I founded Milkwood Agency, designing and establishing its brand identity and vision from the ground up.

I manage the exclusive representation of Portfolio, the flagship business imprint of Penguin Random House Publishing Group, along with several other imprints.
As the exclusive agent for Alain de Botton, I introduced <THE SCHOOL OF LIFE LONDON> to Kyobo Book Centre’s Book Morning CEO program, becoming its very first contributor. For two years, I wrote a regular newsletter featuring insights into new international releases.
In 2011, I coordinated and interpreted Alain de Botton’s lecture for employees at Naver’s Bundang headquarters.
I proposed and represented the co-authored project <THE FOUNDATION OF LOVE>, published by Munhakdongne with author Jeong Yi Hyun.
I also served as the exclusive agent for the biography of Jeannie Suk, Professor at Harvard Law School, which was published by Book House Publishers.
I secured an exclusive contract with MiraeN for the entire <THE SCHOOL OF LIFE> series.
In 2018, I signed exclusive agreements with 18 imprints of Penguin Random House Group.
In 2020, I arranged the export contract for Choi Jeonghwa’s <THE WHITE CITY TALE>, published by Munhakdongne, with RestlessBooks in the United States.
That same year, I was appointed as the Korean Director of ART OMI’s Writers Residency Program in New York, a collaborative initiative between American and German cultural institutions.
In October 2021, I signed an exclusive agreement with Sourcebooks in the United States, securing the complete children’s science series by Dr. Chris Ferrie.
In December 2021, I became the exclusive agent for Zando.
